Cohort analysis measures a specific metric by trying it among various groups of users. It helps better understand your customer. For marketing, the data can disclose how a website performs, based on the amount of time users spend on it. It also can predict customer behavior, such as reorder rate.
What is Good Customer Retention?
Ideally, you could keep all your customers coming back for more. But for most industries, the eight-week retention rate is below 20 percent. Companies can measure their retention rate month-over-month or year-over-year to see which marketing efforts are working.
