AuditionU.com is a brand new website portal that matches high school musicians with college scholarships and opportinies (think Match.com for musicians and colleges).
The Problem
AuditionU was a brand new company with the need to grow their user base on both sides of the portal (high school students and Universities), while at the same time get to a cash flow positive position fast.
The Solution
Over the course of 5 months Matchnode created a multi-channel campaign to target both students and universities implementing:
- Completely separate onboarding funnels tailoring the experience to each type of user and tracking their success in Google Analytics.
- Custom Facebook Tabs for the AuditionU Facebook page.
- A LinkedIn campaign targeting university faculty.
- Used Facebook interest targeting to reach students interested in musicianship.
- Successfully instituted a pay wall on the University side of the portal by marketing the site as, “Free to all Students!”
- A Salesforce.com email campaign to build records of every college in the country.
- Retargeting campaigns on banner networks, FBX and Twitter to “catch,” users that didn’t initially sign up.
